Takes me back half-a-century to when I was defending the British Empire against the Communist menace. Lovely place, Penang – but there must be a few changes since I was there last. Great pics – thank you.

do you mean gnosticism? or are you making a point (that I’m missing) with that spelling. no offence meant

    • Gary
Posted at 21:03h, 11 March Reply

nah.. its gnostecism.. nothing to do with gnosticism. i was too young to actually know that it sounds like gnosticism when i founded it and there aren’t even any meaning behind it. lol

I went to Malaysia when I was 12 or so. The Golden Buddha jogged my memory. Did you go there by train and take the ferry? That’s what I believe I did as far as I can recall. Lovely photographs – I only had one day at Penang D:

    • Gary
Posted at 10:36h, 23 March Reply

the gold buddha is actually in a Siamese temple, directly opposite this temple is another temple housing the sleeping buddha. i went there by car and took a bus ride back to KL. One day is definitely not enough, you should go back again!

I loved Penang. The food, the life – I stayed at Hard Rock Cafe which was awesome. they had pool side apartments where your balcony was the edge of the water, so you literally walk to your balcony and jump in the pool. The floating mosque was cool too!
