31 Jan The New Generation Dance Showcase – Beta 2011
Hi all, welcome back. If you had noticed, the blog layout has undergone some changes, it now has a dark scheme to compliment the photos that I will post up. The layout also allows me to post up larger photos due to the increased width. Anyway, getting back to the point, few weeks ago I was invited to shoot a dance performance by Batu Dance Theater at The Annexe Gallery, Central Market. For an idea on what the performance was all about, please click here.
This is by far my most challenging shoot yet, light was minimal and it was very dark. Above are the more usable shots that I took. I remembered how I wished I had a D700 with me while I was shooting because of the D700’s superb lowlight capabilities. To get the optimal shutter speed on my D90, even while I was using an aperture value of f2.8, I had to pumped the ISO right up to 3200, so, please excuse the noise.
