25 Mar Holi, The Festival of Colors
Last weekend, I headed over to Lakshmi Narayan Temple along Jalan Ipoh to shoot Holi, a religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus which were also known as Festival of Colors. Holi is celebrated at the end of the winter season on the last full moon day of the lunar month Phalguna (February/March), (Phalgun Purnima), which usually falls in the later part of February or March. Holi is celebrated by people throwing scented powder and perfume at each other.
Personally, it was a great moment when people of different backgrounds, religions, races and colors came together and celebrated this festival as a whole. The Holi festival blurred boundaries and united everyone who were willing to join in the fun. See you there again next year!
Just a friendly reminder for next year.
