Chinese Ethnic Song & Dance Gala Show

China and Malaysia is celebrating its 40th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries in 2014. Top artists from the Peoples’ Republic of China were invited to present a world class performance in support of strengthening good relations between China and Malaysia. Yang Liping, Qu Biawu, Yu Xiaoxue, Xia Ga and the National ethnic performance group brought out an excellent gala show at Istana Budaya, Malaysia’s National Theatre. It is indeed a rare occasion for so many world-class Chinese performers to share the same stage outside of China.

Audiences were filled with awe, it was indeed one great night of incredible performances. It was also a joyful occasion for me, as I had arguably the second best seat in the theatre apart from the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Dato’ Seri Nazri’s seat (all thanks to the organiser). That is all for China Malaysia Cultural and Trade Exchange 2013: Chinese Ethnic Song and Dance Gala Show. Next up, The Restaurant of Many Orders by the Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project by the Japan Foundation: KL.
